ABSTRACT

Small Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) are significant contributors to economic growth and employment and therefore playing a vital role in wealth creation and human welfare. Yet despite their critical importance, SMMEs are yet to realize their full potential due to numerous challenges presented by the nature of operations in a global market, including the emergent hyper digital contexts as presented by COVID-19. Mobile Cloud Based Enterprise Resource Planning (MCB-ERP) systems present opportunities such as on-demand use, low upfront capital expenditure, security and stability, easy upgrade, and low operational and maintenance costs for SMMEs operating in these global markets. This paper reports on a systematic review of 35 peer reviewed journals and conference papers to identify MCB-ERP research that has been undertaken and to identify opportunities, gaps, and challenges in relation to SMMEs. The key findings suggest that researchers have mainly focused on Cloud-Based ERP adoption and implementation factors;the use, benefits, and impact for SMMEs received limited attention;and that SMME readiness for adoption is impacted by a lack of MCB-ERP vendor presence, awareness, and experience. Moreover, most of the research is not contextualized and treats SMMEs as homogenous entities operating in sectors with similar environments and preconditions. Future context specific research investigating MCB-ERPs in specific contexts, and non-ICT based sectors such as agriculture for SMMEs is recommended. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze factors affecting the intention to use a new human resource information system at PT. XYZ. PT. XYZ is a small-medium enterprise located in Jakarta, Indonesia. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the company switched from a manual to an electronic human resource information system. The sample of this study is all employees of PT. XYZ. The questionnaires were distributed directly to 36 employees of PT. XYZ. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that owner and technology vendor support significantly influence the intention to use a new human resource information system. The novelty of this research is combining the technology acceptance model theory, the technology-organization-environment framework, and the yale communication model. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) are a type of business that has an important role increase in Gross Domestic Income (GDP) as well as backbone of economy in Indonesia. The decline in turnover, aspects of production, trade and labor are impact of Covid-19 pandemic. The method used integration of Balanced Score Card (BSC), FANP and FTOPSIS. BSC used determine measurement of SMEs indicators, FANP used determine weight of each indicator and FTOPSIS for ranking and mapping SMEs. The purpose research is to mapping of SMEs Batik with integration fuzzy ANP dan TOPSIS methods. The contribution of research is use BSC indicator, namely use of market places, and online product marketing, implementation of health protocols and Covid-19. Based on smallest Consistency Ratio (CR), the mapping results show that 52% of batik SMEs enter repair industry level, 23% of SMEs are at developing industry level, and 15% at advanced industrial level. Research contributes to cooperatives and SMEs players in recommending improvements to performance of SMEs based on Fuzzy with relevant indicators during Covid-19 pandemic. © 2022 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

The implication of the Covid-19 global pandemic is driving the transition of SMEs' business towards digitalization. However, despite the use of the digital platform, many SMEs are unable to survive. Therefore, this study included a focus on Decision Support System (DSS)-based dashboard model as a new feature in assessing SMEs' digitalization readiness. The twenty-four criteria appraisals are regarded in this sense as two views of business and Information Technology (IT) dimensions which include the Fuzzy-Analytical Hierarchy Process Method (F-AHP) for the weighting measurement and Objective Matrix (OMAX) for the performance mapping analysis, and both are embedded in the Business Intelligent (BI) dashboard development. In Riau Province, Indonesia, a total of 118 SMEs were interested in this study and fact thus revealed the general performance of SMEs as rated at an “Average” level of index value 4.95 with comprehensive parameters for index contribution viz., 3.79, 3.84, 7.75, 4.68, 4.32, and 5.43 for Business Activity (BA), Transaction (TC), Marketing (MC), Management (MG), Micro Environment (MI) and Macro Environment (MA) respectively. Furthermore, the dashboard prepares a tracking and analysis system with the graphical diagram extracted from each criteria hierarchy's root cause to sub-criteria. The DSS dashboard's information and knowledge have been developed into a promotional framework for stakeholders relevant to a digital business's success and sustainability performance initiatives. © 2022. ABSTRACT

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the domestic and global economic sectors to experience turmoil. The impact of the pandemic has been most pronounced in the Small Medium Enterprise (SMEs) sector. Most SMEs experienced a decline in sales turnover, difficulties in obtaining financing/credit, problems in the distribution of goods, and difficulties in obtaining raw materials. The purpose of this research is to determine the selection of Decision Support System (DSS) SMEs Batik Madura Indonesian, in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic based on influential indicators. The method used is interval value fuzzy type-2 Technique for Others Reference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) based on Group Decision Support System (GDSS). The method for processing expert data is interval value fuzzy type-2 Geometric Mean Aggregation (GMA). The research findings are the most influential indicator weights in the selection are a variety of batik motifs and online market places. The contribution of the research is to develop the fuzzy interval type-2 method to support SMEs selection decisions by modifying the midpoint on triangular Fuzzy Number interval based on GRUP (GDSS). Based on expert data, the comparison of accuracy between fuzzy type-2 with one point, and two points, the highest accuracy result is using fuzzy type-2 with two points. © 2021 IEEE.

ABSTRACT

Pandemic COVID-19 has changed the business landscape dramatically. Many large business and corporate sectors are able to adapt to the change but the micro-entrepreneurs continue their struggling to adapt to the change. Due to the movement restrictions while battling with COVID-19, businesses are forced to switch from conventional brick-and-mortar business to digital business application involving developing their own e-commerce sites. The emerging social media in society provides opportunity for the micro-enterprises to virtually engage with their customers. The social media has now become one of the important business tools for marketing, branding, networking and developing the business strategy. Despite of the active social media involvement among the micro-entrepreneurs, the outcome of the social media activities is still at its infancy. Micro-entrepreneurs especially the Bumiputeras have still not fully utilized the social media as their business tool. Micro-entrepreneurs lack the knowledge on how to interpret the social media platform analysis tools such as site traffic, post engagement, post impressions and others. Therefore, it is necessary to further study of degree social media adoption among the Bumiputera micro-entrepreneurs and how it affects the business performance. A quantitative method is proposed for this study by considering the existing UTAUT variables like performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions. This paper proposes a conceptual research model based on the underpinning theory and aim to measure the outcome from adoption of social media on Bumiputera micro-entrepreneurs' business performance. © 2021 IEEE.
